FALMOUTH – Some new beach regulations could be on the way in Falmouth.
The town’s Board of Selectmen will meet Monday night to hear from the public on a series of new rules that could soon be implemented at Falmouth’s public beaches.
The board is set to consider banning alcohol, grills, fires, vaping, and smoking while also more clearly defining beach hours and parking regulations.
Animals and pets would not be allowed on Falmouth beaches from May 1 to October 1, except for service dogs.
The new rules would also limit umbrellas and tents at 10 feet by 10 feet, so long as they don’t obstruct the lifeguard’s ability to respond to any emergencies in the water.
The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at Falmouth Town Hall.
