FALMOUTH – Falmouth residents will hold Town Meeting tonight and will be considering some big ticket expenditures.
Warrant Article 3 seeks $7.6 million for the design and construction of about 3 miles of water main along route 28 between Palmer Avenue and Oxbow Road. The town is also proposing spending $8.8 Million in capital project requests and $1.38 million on non-capital projects, using $7.1 million in free cash and $1.5 million from the capital stabilization fund. Articles 4 and 5 seek $1.5 million for a new fire truck, just under $900,000 for roadwork, $175,000 for work on athletic fields, $100,000 to be used for software updates, and $814,000 for vehicles for the town’s Department of Public Works.
Other Warrant Articles include tweaking the Coastal Pond Overlay District to match updated maps and requiring all structure expansions of 1,000 to trigger site plan review. Falmouth
