Family Pantry Celebrates Anderson’s Retirement

HARWICH – Mary Anderson formally handed over the position of Executive Director of the Family Pantry of Cape Cod recently during a retirement party at Our Lady of the Annunciation Hall in Dennis Port.

Christine Menard will now lead the organization which provides food and clothing to those in need.

Anderson served as the executive director for 11 years and will continue to work with the organization in a different capacity.

During the party she was presented with a proclamation from Cape and Islands State Senator Dan Wolf and Senate President Stan Rosenberg.

The organization’s board of directors has also decided to name the pantry’s building on Queen Anne Road in Harwich after her father, George Morris, who was one of its founding members.
