Fence Fire Spreads to Cottage in Falmouth

FALMOUTH – A fire that started on a fence spread to the side of a cottage this afternoon at 4 Windward Way in North Falmouth.

The Falmouth Fire Department responded to the scene around 1:30 p.m. and extinguished the fire in about 5 minutes.

Cap. Greg Clements said that fire personnel could not determine what caused the fence to catch fire.

Although the cottage was threatened, Clements said that the building did not sustain any major structural damage.

There were no injuries reported.
