Travel Troubles Continue For Ferry Service

WOODS HOLE –Travel troubles continued Tuesday throughout the day for passengers and vehicles traveling between Martha’s Vineyard and Woods Hole after mechanical trouble sidelined the M/V Governor, one of the Authority’s freight boats.

Engineers had to replace a fuel pump after a warning light indicated a problem, trips on the vessel were cancelled beginning late yesterday morning in to the afternoon.

The M/V Martha’s Vineyard was brought in to replace the Governor.

Also yesterday, a truck offloading in Woods Hole struck a cable on the off ramp which caused further delays while the slip was closed as repairs were made to the ramp.
