Travel Troubles Continue For Ferry Service

WOODS HOLE – Travel troubles continued Tuesday throughout the day for passengers and vehicles traveling between Martha’s Vineyard and Woods Hole after mechanical trouble sidelined the M/V Governor, one of the Authority’s freight boats.

Engineers had to replace a fuel pump after a warning light indicated a problem, trips on the vessel were cancelled beginning late yesterday morning in to the afternoon.

The M/V Martha’s Vineyard was brought in to replace the Governor.

Also yesterday, a truck offloading in Woods Hole struck a cable on the off ramp which caused further delays while the slip was closed as repairs were made to the ramp.
