Festivities Continue in Provincetown for Annual Carnival Week

Carnival - 3PROVINCETOWN – The 38th annual Carnival Week in Provincetown kicked off on Saturday and runs until Friday.

The week began with the Carnival Pride Raising Flag Ceremony on Sunday, the “Men at Work Vendor Fair” on Monday and the “Back to the Future” Carnival Costume Ball on Monday night.

Festivities continue on Thursday with the annual Carnival Parade at 3 p.m. and the “Electric Slide Dance Party” on Friday at the Crown and Anchor.

“It goes through the end of the week and there are other parties so there’s a lot happening,” said Provincetown Tourism Director Anthony Fuccillo.

Fuccillo adds that this summer has been busy in Provincetown.

“In July and August, every night is Saturday night in Provincetown,” said Fuccillo.
