Film At Museum Of Art Celebrates Black History Month

 

 

DENNIS – The Cape Cod Museum of Art is celebrating Black History Month by presenting a documentary titled “Journeys in the Light, Untold Stories of Cape Cod”. 

The film tells the story of the diversified residents of the Cape prior to the arrival of the Mayflowers. 

The soundtrack features an array of regional musicians. 

The historical notes of Dolores DaLuz served as one of the films major content sources.  Dolores is acknowledged as an expert of black history on Cape Cod., and is a long time civil rights activist. 

The museum was founded in 1981 and has, in addition to their film screening room, seven galleries and a gift shop.  It is located in Dennis. The building is surrounded by a garden of sculptures.
