HARWICH – A forum focused on curbing teen substance abuse is planned for tonight in Harwich.

The Lower Cape Prevention Partnership is putting on the free event as the opioid epidemic continues on Cape Cod and across the state. The group was founded partially in response to the opioid epidemic.

The documentary “If Only” will be shown to atendees. The Jim Wahlberg production focuses on how prescription drug abuse affects children and the role parents need to take to prevent addiction.

Community stakeholders will also address the issue.

Tonight’s event takes place at 6:30 at Monomoy Regional High School.
