MARTHA’S VINEYARD – Martha’s Vineyard will once again host a notable visitor this summer.

President Barack Obama and family are expected to vacation on the island again in August, as they have done for every year of his presidency, except 2012.

Air Station Cape Cod Commanding Officer Timothy Tobiasz told Falmouth selectmen this week that the visit is expected to last about 3 weeks. Crews from the base handle security and support during the President’s visit.

The White House has not yet confirmed the plans.

The first family stayed at a home in Chilmark in 2015.
