Fishermen’s Alliance Releases New Videos Highlighting Locally Caught Seafood

CHATHAM – The Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance is releasing three new videos highlighting seafood caught by local small boat fishermen.

The cooking videos are funded by the Massachusetts Seafood Marketing Grant Program and try to encourage chefs to try new recipes with fish.

The first video highlights local skate and has already been released. Upcoming videos will showcase dogfish and monkfish.

Officials say they hope the videos will also raise awareness about “under-loved” species that are abundant in local waters.

“It’s important to expose people to the healthy, delicious fish that our fleet is landing,” said Nick Muto, a Chatham fisherman.

The videos are available on the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance facebook page, YouTube channel, and the group’s website.
