Five People Indicted In April Stabbing at Quarterdeck Lounge in Hyannis

justice scalesHYANNIS-  The five people accused of participating in the stabbing of a man at the Quarterdeck Lounge in Hyannis in April were indicted Friday by a Barnstable County grand jury.

According to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office, Christopher Wilkins, William Branch, Eric A. Brando Jr., Dino Tillman and Kayla Majors were on indicted on charges that include assault with intent to murder, four counts of assault and battery and two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

On April 22, Barnstable Police arrived at the Quarterdeck Lounge in Hyannis at 1:30 a.m. after there were reports of a man found with stab wounds.

Police observed a man suffering from multiple life threatening stab wounds to his back and he was transported to Cape Cod Hospital and nearly died from his injuries.

After police investigated the incident, it was found that the male victim had attempted to intervene in an altercation between a man and woman behind the lounge,  after the man had assaulted the woman.

As the victim came to the aid of the woman, police say a group of  at least 10 men and women had left the bar, surrounded the victim and attacked him by kicking and stabbing him.

Arraignment dates in Barnstable Superior Court for the five accused will be set up in the next couple of weeks, according to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office.
