HYANNIS – The Cape Cod Maritime Museum is inviting families to their North Street facility for what they are calling “Float Your Boat Family Fun Day.”
The event will is geared toward families with children 5 years of age and older, and gives them the opportunity to design and construct their own hand-held boat using recycled and simple materials.
Quick and simple lessons on buoyancy and floating will be given during the drop-in event and all will be encouraged to float their boats. Challenges around weight bearing and free motion will also be offered.
Float Your Boat Family Fun Day will be held, rain or shine, on Saturday, September 16, from 1-4 p.m. at the Cape Cod Maritime Museum. A three dollar fee will be charged at the door for supplies.
