HYANNIS – Incumbent Democratic Barnstable County Commissioner Mary Pat Flynn was top vote-getter in Tuesday’s election, among a field of four.
Republican Ron Beaty picked up the second available seat, finishing ahead of Democrat Mark Forest and fellow Republican Linda Bond.
With all 15 Cape Cod towns reporting their results, except Wellfleet, Flynn received 63,581 votes. Beaty had 42,362, followed by Forest at 40,655 and Bond with 31,956.
Beaty will join fellow Republican Leo Cakounes on the three-person board that oversees county government on Cape Cod.
Sheila Lyons left the board to run for state senate, leaving an open seat on the board.
