Food for Thought Lecture Series to Begin Soon on Nantucket

NANTUCKET – The Nantucket Whaling Museum will host a weekly series of free lectures starting on November 3rd.

The Food For Thought Lecture Series, instituted in 2006, brings artists, scientists, business leaders and philanthropists to downtown where residents can learn more about the island and forces affecting it.

On Thursday, November 3rd, nutritionist Kathleen Minihan will share her tips on seeking out accurate nutritional information.

On November 10th, Photographer Katie Kaizer will provide tips on capturing special moments with friends and family during the upcoming holiday season.

And, on November 17th, the status of humpback and North Atlantic right whales will be given by Dr. Charles “Stormy” Mayo of the Center for Coastal Studies in Provincetown.

Each talk runs from noon to 1 p.m. each Thursday in November. Attendees are invited to bring a brown bag lunch.

The museum is located at 13 Broad Street.
