MASHPEE – Mashpee’s Oktoberfest celebration has been cancelled, due to an unfavorable weather forecast for this weekend.
The decision was made mid-week, which was as late as the decision could realistically be made, according to town officials.
Oktoberfest was originally scheduled for Saturday, with a rain date for Sunday. Neither day was deemed feasible given the forecast.
The event was scheduled to draw 60 vendors.
