OSTERVILLE – The long-time President and CEO of the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod has a new leadership position with Cape Cod Academy.
Joel Crowell was elected as the chair of the Board of Trustees for the private school in Osterville. He will serve a two year term and has been on the Cape Cod Academy board since 2015.
“I am honored to have been elected chair of Cape Cod Academy’s Board of Trustees,” Crowell said. “I am also a proud past parent. The school gave my daughter an extraordinary advantage for success in college and beyond. I am confidently looking forward to the school’s success and future in our community.”
Crowell spent 47 years with the Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod before retiring this year.
“Joel is a leader not only professionally but also has such demonstrable commitment to local organizations,” said Tom Trigg, Cape Cod Academy’s Head of School. “We are very fortunate that Cape Cod Academy is included on his long list of volunteer board work. His vast professional experience is invaluable for guiding the institution’s strategic development over the next several years.”
Crowell takes over for Roger Boocock, who chaired the board for the last two years.
