Former Bank of Cape Cod Branch Purchased By Cape Cod Five

HYANNIS – A former Bank of Cape Cod branch building on Iyannough Road in Hyannis has been purchased by Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank.

The bank just recently held a ground breaking ceremony at the abutting 8.64 acre property that will be home to its new banking campus.

Plans for the complex include a 78,000 square foot state-of-the-art multipurpose office building with a separate structured parking facility.

The proposed layout of the campus was based on the original space.

But when the transaction closes, and with regulatory approval, they now have an additional area and building, and will be reassessing the original plans.

The newly purchased property has entry access from both Route 132 and Attucks Lane.

It was acquired from Rockland Trust who owned it for just one week.

The existing building has over 12,000 square feet of space ready for immediate occupancy.

Founded in 1855, Cape Cod Five currently has 23 offices and assets worth over $3 billion.
