Former State Rep. Mannal Leaving Cape Cod

CENTERVILLE – A former State Representative is leaving the shores of Cape Cod for the southwest.

Brian Mannal, who served two terms representing Barnstable and Yarmouth on Beacon Hill, announced on social media that he and his family are moving to Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“Life is a journey, not a destination…Our journey now takes us west to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we are excited to start the next phase of our lives,” Mannal said in a facebook post. “We are grateful for the time that we have had on Cape Cod, and thankful for the many friendships that we have made along the way.”

Mannal did not seek re-election in the 2^nd Barnstable District this past November. He unseated longtime representative Demetrius Atsalis in a Democratic primary in 2012.

The 2^nd Barnstable District is now represented by Will Crocker (R-Centerville).
