Orleans Forum to Focus on Future of Community Housing

ORLEANS – A public forum focused on year-round housing on Cape Cod will be held next week in Orleans.

The Orleans Citizens Forum will host New Directions in Community Housing on February 22 at 3:30 p.m. at the Orleans Senior Center.

A panel of experts will discuss the complex challenges facing Cape Cod towns when it comes to meeting the housing needs of families or the elderly.

The panel includes Barry Alper, a member of the Orleans Housing Authority; Andrea Aldana, director of housing advocacy for the Community Development Partnership; Vicki Goldsmith, the executive director of Habitat of Humanity Cape Cod; Bob Jones, the Cape Cod Village board of directors president; and Katie Wibby, the vice chair of Orleans Affordable Housing Committee.

The Orleans Citizens Forum is an all volunteer, independent and non-partisan organization that provides public forums on topics important to the quality of life of residents.
