Forum to Focus on Ocean Farming

WEST YARMOUTH – Cape Cod Blue Economy will host an Ocean Farming Forum later this month in West Yarmouth.

The goal of the forum is to inform the local aquaculture industry, commercial fishermen and entrepreneurs of the potential business opportunities for the offshore farming of oysters, bay scallops, mussels and sugar kelp.

Panelists include:

  • Dan Ward – Ward Aquafar, 
  • Dan Martino – Cottage City Oysters
  • Chris Schillaci – MA Division of Marine Fisheries
  • Scott Lindell – Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
  • Chris Adams – Blue Economy Project
  • Dominic Santoro – Chatham Fisherman

The panel will be moderated by Melissa Sanderson, the COO of the Cape Cod Commercial Fishermen’s Alliance.

Space is limited for the forum on November 27 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Cape and Islands Association of Realtors.
