Foundation Announces Parnership

SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod Women’s Association Scholarship Fund will now be overseen by the Cape Cod Foundation.

The fund supports women who are studying how to develop professional skills, being trained in a new type of work, or planning to continue their education.

This year they will distribute $3000.  The scholarships are available to women who are at least 21 years of age and reside on the Cape.

The association was formed in March of last year when the local chapter of the American Business Women’s Association decided to disband.

Former members started the organization to help women build relationships in their professional and personal lives, whether they’re in business or transition.

The Cape Cod Foundation distributes more than $420,000 in scholarships annually.

Those wishing to apply must do so online at capecodfoundation.org.  The deadline is April first, and the recipients will be contacted in late spring.

More information can be obtained by calling 508-790-3040 or at the website.
