MARTHA’S VINEYARD – Voters on Martha’s Vineyard went to the town meeting in four communities Tuesday night.
According to the Vineyard Gazette, Edgartown and Oak bluffs defeated the proposed housing ban question. West Tisbury approved it, while Tisbury voters will take up the matter Wednesday night in a second night of meeting.
Oak Bluffs residents finished their town meeting Tuesday night, approving $431 million in spending for the town budget but declined to fund a study on repairing or replacing the regional high school.
In Edgartown, a $900,000 proposal to repair a hanger at Katama airport was approved. It was constructed in the WW II era.
West Tisbury voters also approved a bottle ban initiative submitted by school children.
