Fourth Workshop Set For Outer Cape Bike and Pedestrian Master Plan

Bike - 1TRURO – A fourth public workshop will be held for the Outer Cape Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan next week.

Representatives from Provincetown, Truro, Wellfleet, the Cape Cod National Seashore and the Cape Cod Commission will discuss plans to develop an interconnected bike and walking network linking the towns with the seashore and Cape Cod Rail Trail.

Elements of the plan will be presented to the public including the recommended primary route through the region and secondary routes through each town.

Attendees will help to provide input for the secondary routes and brainstorm solutions for a few challenging locations.

The previous workshops gathered input on the primary route.

The project is funded by a Paul S. Sarbanes Transit in the Parks grant, which is a Federal Transit Administration program created to provide solutions for increased vehicle congestion in and around national parks.

The workshop will be held Wednesday, June 15 at the Truro Community Center on Standish Way from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
