Free Arts Workshops For Students in Provincetown Announced

PROVINCETOWN – The 2018 course offerings for the START! Program have been announced.

The Provincetown Art Association and Museum, and the Fine Arts Work Center, have teamed up to offer free Saturday workshops which are available to Lower Cape middle and high school students. Free bus transportation from Harwich to Provincetown is also available.

The workshops include Digital and Hand-Made Animation, Painting and drawing; and Creative Writing. The FAWC has, for the past 50 years, invited the nation’s most promising emerging artists to work in Provincetown for seven months. Some will serve as instructors.

This free opportunity also includes all materials and snacks. It is made possible by a private donor.

Provincetown is America’s oldest continuous arts colony.

The workshops begin on February 3rd and run for five weeks. Registration and more information are available at www.paam.org.
