FALMOUTH – The annual Free Fun Friday at the Falmouth Museums on the Green this week will have a patriotic twist.
Visitors will enjoy free admission to the Falmouth Historical Society’s properties and exhibits on July 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Special events are also planned throughout the day.
Visitors will be able to tour the Dr. Francis Wicks House to see what life was like for a physician in a Federalist-era home, learn more about the town’s history through the “Falmouth: Changing with the Times” exhibit in the restored Conant House, along with seeing souvenirs from whaling voyages in the Hallett Barn’s exhibit – “We Who Adventure Far.”
Visitors are also invited to stroll through a Colonial-style flower garden, an herb garden and a Memorial Park, which are are part of the museum’s campus.
Special events include a tag sale, the Bubble Guy, free red, white and blue ice cream, a scrimshaw demonstration and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.
