Free Reading Of “Stage Door” Coming To Cotuit Center For The Arts

COTUIT – A free staged reading of the 1937 film “Stage door” will be presented by Cotuit Center for the Arts’ 2nd Wednesday Theatre on February 14th at 7:30. 

The 1937 film, originally a play, takes place during the depression at a club called The Footlights.  It follows a diverse group of young ladies trying to make it in the world of theater in of the big apple. 

The vivid characters have varying levels of skill and are involved in many plots and subplots. 

Two of movies all-time greats, Katherine Hepburn and Ginger Rogers, starred in the film. 

Second Wednesday Theater presents readings of rarely performed classics, undiscovered gems and exciting new works on a monthly basis.  It is always free of charge and wine is available for only $5 a glass.
