Fund for Sandwich Accepting Grant Applications

SOUTH YARMOUTH – The Fund for Sandwich of The Cape Cod Foundation is accepting grant applications from nonprofit organizations serving Sandwich residents.

The fund is providing grants up to $500 for projects and programs within the fields of health and human services, education, the environment, youth and elder services, community development and the arts.

Applications can be completed at capecodfoundation.org and the deadline is noon on October 2.

The fund was established in 2015 by a group of residents to build a permanent endowment for the town through private donations and to provide grants that improve and enhance the quality of life in the community.

This is the funds inaugural year for awarding grants.

“Our goal is to mobilize our community and build our philanthropic resources so that we can meet the needs and challenges of Sandwich today – and in the future,” said Madeleine Wing Adler, a member of the fund’s advisory committee.

Tax-deductible donations to the fund can also be made at capecodfoundation.org or by phone at 508-790-3040.
