BARNSTABLE – The Barnstable County Department of Human Services has granted six towns across the Cape up to $6,000 in funding through the Substance Abuse Prevention Collaborative.

The money will be used to address youth substance abuse on Cape Cod.

Funding for projects such as vaping education, youth substance-free events, and public services announcements will be given to the towns of Barnstable, Dennis, Falmouth, Harwich, Mashpee, and Yarmouth.

The SAPC grant program in Barnstable County is a regional effort to prevent substance use throughout the area through policy, practice, system changes, and more.
