HYANNIS – Members of the community are supporting a Hyannis family whose Megan Road home caught fire last week.

The Ciliberto family’s home needs to be gutted after the blaze and the family has been displaced for the time-being. Jeanne Ciliberto, a gym teacher at Hyannis West Elementary School, her husband Tony, and their two teenage sons live in the home.

The fire, which started in a bedroom, is believed to possibly have been started by an air conditioning unit.

A fundraiser is being held on Thursday at the Portside Tavern Thursday night from 5 to 9 PM. A fund has also been set up for the family at the Eastern Bank on Iyannough Road. Checks can be made out to Hope for Hyannis Family.
