COTUIT – The Cape Cod theater community will be celebrated this week with a gala reception that includes showcase performances from several theater groups.
The Cape & Islands Theater Coalition’s 5th annual Season Highlights Theater Celebration will be held at Cotuit Center for the Arts on Tuesday from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
The event will include performances, a catered reception with hors d’oeuvres, wine, soft drinks and a cash bar.
The showcase performances will feature the Academy Playhouse, Cotuit Center for the Arts, Cape Rep Theater, Cape Cod Theatre Company, Chatham Drama Guild, Eventide Theater Company, Falmouth Theater Guild and the Woods Hole Theatre Company.
Drawings will also be held for prizes that include theater tickets, wine, restaurant gift certificates and more.
The evening will celebrate the 26 non-profit live performance theaters on the Cape and Islands, and will mark the 21st anniversary of the Cape & Islands Theater Coalition.
All proceeds from the event benefit the coalition and its member theaters.
