SANDWICH – Portions of Service Road in Sandwich will be closed Tuesday and Thursday as National Grid continues work on the Sagamore Line Reinforcement project.
As part of the ongoing construction project, several gas main road crossings will be completed on Service Road.
The road will be closed tomorrow between Chase Road and Story Lane.
Thursday’s closure will be from Quaker Meetinghouse Road and Madison Drive.
Work is expected from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
The work will cause a detour of traffic onto Route 6 for motorists traveling both eastbound and westbound at these locations.
Local access for residents outside of these work zones will remain uninterrupted and any resident or business that is within the work zone will be granted entry and exit.
