YARMOUTH – The Gay and Lesbian Equity, or GALE Fund of The Cape Cod Foundation has awarded $4,750 in grants to six local nonprofit organizations.
Grantees were selected for their work supporting issues facing the region’s lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.
This year’s recipients include Barnstable Senior Center, Cape Cod Pride, The Homeless Prevention Council, HopeHealth Massachusetts, Orleans Senior Center, and The Yard.
Since GALE’s inception in 1998, the fund has raised and distributed more than $255,000 to local organizations offering projects and programs that improve the lives of LGBTQ individuals and their families on Cape Cod and the Islands.
