Enchanted Village Giving Tree Program Success

HYANNIS – This year’s Enchanted Village Toy Campaign at the Cape Codder Resort provided more than $8,000 in gifts to needy families on Cape Cod this Christmas.

529 toys, numerous gift cards and non- perishable food items were placed under the resort’s “Giving Tree” as part of the effort. The donated items went to clients of Independence House.

“This year the Giving Tree provided 529 toys, and additional gift cards to 243 women with children, 42 teens in our Teen program and 33 children in our Children Exposed to Domestic Violence and Child Sexual Violence Programs,” said Donna Giberti, Director of Development and Marketing for Independence House.

“We estimate the value of these donations at more than $8,000. We are grateful for this long-standing relationship between Independence House and the Cape Codder Resort. It means so much to these families and children to know they have support and that our community cares.”

The Giving Tree Program began at the resort in 2002.
