Gold Star Families to Educate D-Y Students on Significance Memorial Day

SOUTH YARMOUTH – Massachusetts Fallen Heroes will be launching its Annual Statewide Educational Initiative as a part of the 2nd Annual Patriot Week.

There will a series of events taking place over 10 days, honoring local veterans and families of the Fallen.

Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, along with Gold Star Family Member and Yarmouth Deputy Police Chief Steven Xiarhos, will speak to students at Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School about the sacrifices made by servicemen and women since 9/11.

The program will highlight the significance of Memorial Day by encompassing the traits of Honor, Sacrifice, Service, Character and Selfless Service.

The event will be held on Monday, May 22 at 10 a.m.
