Gosnold Recognizes Three with Community Champion Awards

MASHPEE – Three community awards were handed out at the annual Board Officers Appreciation Lunch in November.

The luncheon featured two “Champion Awards” to honor special supporters who advocate for Gosnold’s mission – to excel in addiction and mental health treatment, to serve men, women, and children with these illnesses, and to promote lasting recovery.

An additional award, “Gosnold’s Rising Star Award” was created this year and is meant for an individual or organization that is a new Gosnold supporter.

Tony and Jane Daddario of Medford earned the 2018 Gosnold “Family & Friends Champion” Award for starting the Brendan Daddario Scholarship to memorialize their late son. Brendan lost his battle with addiction at the age of 26 back in 2016. Over the past three years the Daddario’s have raised over $60,000.

Chairman and CEO of C.H. Newton Builders David Newton received the “Community Champion” Award for his company’s long time support of Gosnold.

Finally, Gosnold’s new “Rising Star” Award was given to the Executive Manager and Owner of 24 Auto Group Ed Kardon. Kardon and the 24 Auto Group donated a 2018 Jeep Wrangler to Gosnold, and was the keynote sponsor for the 2018 Legacy Gala.

The Jeep donation allowed for Gosnold to be able to hold a raffle with proceeds benefitting their underfunded initiatives.
