Grand Bargain Legislation Explained

 

BOURNE – The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber, along with Chambers from Sandwich, Mashpee and Falmouth,  is holding an informational session to discuss the recently passed “Grand Bargain” Legislative Package with local business owners next month.

The package includes a $15 minimum wage and paid family and medical leave, some of the components will go into effect on January 1, 2019. 

The seminar is being held with the cooperation of The National Federation of Independent Businesses, and the Retail Association of Massachusetts. 

The discussion will take place Wednesday, August 8, at Upper Cape Regional Technical high school in Bourne. 

Registration begins at 7:30, the presentation will begin at 8, small business owners are invited to attend to learn about the effect the new law will have on their business.
