Grand Opening Event to Celebrate Renovated Buzzards Bay Park

BUZZARDS BAY – A grand opening celebration will be held Friday for the newly renovated Buzzards Bay Park along the Cape Cod Canal.

The park will include a performance pavilion, children’s play area with a splash pad and a memorial grove.

The event, which will include a DJ and other activities, runs from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on June 1.

Residents at last year’s spring Town Meeting approved $1.3 million in two funding articles for the park renovations.

The money for the project came from Community Preservation funds.
