HARWICH – A guided walk of Coy’s Brook Woodlands in Harwich will be held next week.

Sponsored by the Harwich Conservation Trust, the walk with Naturalist Todd Kelley will explore the woodland area as the landscape transitions from fall to winter.

The walk is Tuesday, December 18 from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

Attendees will learn about winter strategies and adaptations of wildlife while looking out across the Herring River valley.

The walk will travel through pine-oak woodland and along an old dike through red maple wetland. There will also be a stop at an Atlantic white cedar wetland that sprung from an old cranberry bog.

The guided walk is free, but space is limited, and advance registration is required.
