HARWICH – The Harwich Conservation Trust is inviting members of the public to join 12th generation Cape Codder Todd Kelley and Native American Nipmuc/Wampanoag Marcus Hendricks on a walk exploring the cultural and natural nightlife of Cape Cod.
Participants will get the chance to learn about the lifeways of the First People in relation to the rhythms of native flora, and fauna at dusk, and during the night.
This walk takes place around the time of the August full moon, also called the “Sturgeon Moon,” which is the time when the sturgeon fish gather signaling a change in fishing activities.
Walkers will also get to explore the many ways that the natural world flourishes after diurnal birds and animals go to bed and crepuscular wildlife as well as nocturnal wildlife become active.
The cost for the event is set at $20.00 per person and will take place on August 27th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
