Habitat of Cape Cod Receives Grant from the Coop Foundation

YARMOUTH – Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod recently received a grant of $10,000 from a local bank.

The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod’s Coop Foundation made the donation to support the Rotary Clubs of Cape Cod’s ‘A Decent Place to Live’ campaign.

The fundraising effort is a coordinated commitment among the Cape’s nine Rotary Clubs to raise $100,000 to support Habitat’s mission of providing affordable, safe, secure homes.

“Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod provides much-needed services to the Cape Cod community,” said Lisa Oliver, president and CEO of The Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, and president of The Coop Foundation Board of Trustees.

“We are thrilled to invest in their efforts through the Foundation.”

Wendy Cullinan, Habitat Cape Cod’s Director of Resource Development said, “We are honored to receive this grant from our friends at The Coop Foundation.”

“It’s crucial to provide stable, affordable housing and home ownership to families and individuals in Barnstable County.”

Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod was founded in 1988 and has developed 135 affordable homes in all 15 towns on Cape Cod.
