BOURNE – Housing Assistance Corporation (HAC) is holding its annual Big Fix event in Bourne tomorrow.
The event was originally scheduled to take place on October 3, but high winds and rain forced HAC to postpone the event for the first time in its six year history.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. at Upper Cape Cod Regional Technical School, with volunteers heading to homes at 9 a.m.
Volunteers will then spend around three hours making minor home repairs for 12 homeowners in Bourne.
Recipients of the Big Fix include nine veterans, including the widow of a World War II serviceman and a Vietnam veteran.
The Big Fix started in 2010 in Barnstable and is making its way to each town on the Cape.
Last year it was in Yarmouth and next year it will be in Brewster.
