HAC to Host Oysters & Champagne Fundraiser

HARWICH – The Housing Assistance Corporation is hosting its first Oysters & Champagne fundraiser of the summer tonight to celebrate its work in providing safe and secure housing for the Cape and Islands.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Garden Terrace of the Wequasset Resort in Harwich. Guests will be able to sample locally-grown oysters paired with champagne while overlooking scenic Pleasant Bay.

Anne Van Vleck, Chief Development Officer for HAC, said the event will tastefully honor the Corporation’s work.

“This will be a unique and elegant evening to not only savor oysters harvested in Dennis Chatham, and Wellfleet, but to provide an opportunity to recognize the importance of HAC’s mission and to celebrate the far-reaching impact of our agency’s work,” she said.

Proceeds from Oysters & Champagne will benefit HAC’s housing programs, which include operating four family homeless shelters, homeless outreach to those living in the streets and woods of Cape Cod, homeless prevention, housing development, foreclosure and reverse mortgage counseling, and providing financial literacy workshops.

Tickets for the event are $150 per person and can be purchased on HAC’s web site at haconcapecod.org. There will also be a chef’s selection of other food offerings and an open bar.
