HARWICH – The Harwich Water Department begins flushing water mains in town today.
The work will take place between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m., Monday through Friday, until December.
Officials will post signs notifying residents where the flushing will take place.
Temporary discoloration and a high chlorine taste is possible during the flushing period. Town officials recommend residents have clean water on hand if any discoloration occurs.
