HARWICH – A site, utility and marine construction business based in Harwich has received 2 New England Business awards.
The Robert B. Our Company, which is in its 60th year, was honored by The Family Business Association as Large Business of the Year at the association’s annual awards ceremony.
In addition, John Our, the company’s Vice President, received the Contractor of the Year Award from the Utility Contractors Association of new England.
When the company was founded, it had 5 employees.
That number has grown over the years to 160.
John Our says that “To be acknowledged by our peers in the industry is quite an honor.”
The Family Business Association is a non-profit organization that provides education as well as a forum for businesses to exchange knowledge and information.
The company, which is run by second and third generation members of the family, serves both homeowners and businesses , and is recognized as one of the largest locally owned contractors on the cape.
