Harwich Conservation Trust Holding Sand Pond Woodlands Walk in June

HARWICH – The Harwich Conservation Trust (HCT) is hosting a Sand Pond Woodlands Walk next month.

Join HCT’s Outreach & Stewardship Coordinator Tyler Maikath on the free, guided walk about the natural history, habitats, and wildlife at a local conservation destination perched by the Herring River and near Sand Pond in Harwich.

The area features a mix of forest, wetland, and stream that offers a variety of habitats to observe. Potential wildlife sightings become more common as spring steadily unfolds.

While the program is free, registration is required. Registration can be sent via email to [email protected]. HCT will follow up with a confirmation email that includes directions to where the group will meet.

The Sand Pond Woodlands Walk will take place on Wednesday, June 5 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. There is no scheduled rain date for this event.

Since 1988, the Harwich Conservation Trust has been preserving land that protects woods water, wildlife and the shared quality of life in Harwich on Cape Cod.
