Harwich Conservation Trust Hosting Wildlife Tracking Workshop

HARWICH – The Harwich Conservation Trust is inviting nature lovers across the Cape to a Wildlife Tracking Workshop this month.

Join naturalist and tracking instructor Todd Kelley for an outdoor workshop where participants will learn how to identify wildlife tracks and signs.

Learn to recognize and interpret the clues left behind by animals such as otter, fox, coyote, deer, raccoon, muskrat, skunk, and maybe even mink. Figure out how to match the shape & size of tracks with the wildlife and movements that made them.

The workshop includes a 16-page handout containing concise instructions, a land mammal species checklist for Cape Cod, and an extensive trackers bibliography.

The Wildlife Tracking Workshop will take place on Saturday, March 30 from 9:30 a.m. through noon at Bell’s Neck Conservation Lands. Admission to event is $15.

A rain date has been set for Sunday, March 31. Directions to Bell’s Neck will be sent to participants following registration.
