Harwich Junior Woman’s Club Donates Funds Recovered from State

Past Junior Woman’s Club member Antigone London, Crissy Phan, manager from Cooperative Bank of Cape Cod, and Deb DeCosta, another past member of the organization, deposit the check of lost money in an account to be distributed to local organizations.

HARWICH – Several organizations in Harwich have received donations from money recovered from the State Treasurer’s Unclaimed Property Division.

After two years of filing paper work the former Harwich Junior Woman’s Club, which disbanded in 2012,  claimed the more than $37,000 left in a bank account.

Former members chose the Harwich Woman’s Club, the Harwich Angel Fund, The Family Pantry of Cape Cod, the Cape Cod Theatre Company, the Harwich Historical Society and town libraries as beneficiaries.
