Harwich Officials Report Bells Neck Algal Bloom

HARWICH – Town officials in Harwich are reporting a potentially toxic algae bloom at the Bells Neck Conservation Area.

The blue-green algae bloom is in the West Reservoir of the conservation area.

The Conservation Commission is asking residents and their pets to stay out of and not drink the water.

The bloom is expected to only last a few days.
