HARWICH – Selectmen in Harwich recently confirmed the appointment of the town’s new health director.
Meggan Eldredge was chosen to replace Paula Champagne, who retired last month, by Town Administrator Christopher Clark.
Eldredge, who previously served as the senior health inspector, has been with the health department in town for about 5 years.
“It’s nice to see an internal promotion as well,” said Clark.
Before coming to Harwich, Eldredge worked for 13 years in the health department in Dennis and over a year in Brewster.
“She’s had about 18 years of experience and Paula was here for 30-something,” Clark said. “I don’t know if we ask her that much for 20-something years but hopefully we get a good long run out of her.”
